10AA Joint holders of mining tenement
A mining tenement may be held by 2 or more persons as joint tenants or as tenants in common.
If—
any of the following applications are made for more than 1 proposed holder or transferee—
an application for a mining tenement;
an application transfer;
an application to register a transfer of a mining tenement under the Common Provisions Act; and
the application does not show whether the proposed holders or transferees are to hold as joint tenants or as tenants in common; and
the mining tenement or approval is granted;
the chief executive must record in the register that the holders or transferees hold the mining tenement as tenants in common.
In this section—
mining tenement includes an interest in a mining tenement.
