Minor amendments by chief executive
263 Minor amendments by chief executive
This section applies if—
the chief executive believes an animal authority should be amended; and
the proposed amendment is a minor amendment.
The chief executive may amend the animal authority by giving the holder of the authority notice of the amendment.
The notice must state the reasons for the amendment.
The amendment takes effect on the later of the following days—
the day the notice is given to the holder;
the day of effect stated in the notice.
The effect of the amendment does not depend on the amendment being noted on the authority.
Note—
See, however, section 276.
In this section—
minor amendment, of an animal authority, means an amendment that—
removes a condition imposed by the chief executive on the authority, if the removal does not adversely affect the interests of the holder of the authority; or
corrects an error; or
makes another minor change that is not substantial and does not adversely affect the interests of the holder of the authority.
