40 Record keeping
(1)
A State museum must, unless the State museum has a reasonable excuse, keep a record for an animal kept under section 35(c).
Note—
For the requirements for records, see chapter 8.
(2)
The museum complies with subsection (1) if a relevant person, or an approved person, for the museum keeps the record for the museum.
(3)
This section is subject to a provision of a conservation plan about the keeping of a record by a State museum for an animal to which the plan relates.
