58A Veterinary surgeons giving away biological samples
(1)
This section applies if a veterinary surgeon treats or cares for a live protected animal at the veterinary premises of the veterinary surgeon.
(2)
The veterinary surgeon may give away a biological sample taken from the animal if—
(a)
the sample was taken from the animal while the animal was being treated or cared for; and
(b)
the person to whom the sample is given intends to keep and use the sample under section 34.
