31 Audit of relevant records
The chief executive may give the holder of a macropod meat processing licence or macropod tanning licence a notice (an audit notice) requiring the holder to have a compliance audit conducted for the licence.
The holder must have the compliance audit conducted—
by a person approved by the chief executive for conducting the audit (an approved auditor); and
within 3 months after the holder is given the audit notice.
Maximum penalty—165 penalty units.
The compliance audit must include an audit of the relevant records for the licence by reference to the following—
any macropod at the licensed premises for the licence while the audit is being conducted;
the Queensland macropod tags supplied or approved by the chief executive for use under the licence.
The chief executive must not give the holder of a macropod meat processing licence or macropod tanning licence more than 1 audit notice for any year for which the licence is in force.
In this section—
compliance audit, for a macropod meat processing licence or macropod tanning licence, means an audit of all the relevant records for the licence to check whether the holder of the licence is complying with the Act.
