56 Selling or giving away macropods generally
The holder of a macropod harvesting licence must sell or give away the macropod to—
the holder, or a relevant person for the holder, of a dealer licence for dead macropods; or
the holder of a corresponding licence in accordance with an approval under subsection (3).
Maximum penalty—120 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to—
a macropod the holder keeps or uses under section 46; or
a prohibited macropod.
The chief executive may give the holder of a macropod harvesting licence written approval to sell or give away harvest macropods, for a stated period of no more than 12 months, to the holder of a corresponding licence.
In this section—
corresponding licence means a licence issued under a law of another State that authorises activities similar to activities authorised under a dealer licence for dead macropods.
