84 Information about monitoring plot for research and monitoring condition
This section applies if—
a protected plant harvesting licence authorises the holder of the licence to take a part of a restricted plant; and
the chief executive imposes a research and monitoring condition on the licence.
The holder must give the chief executive—
within 1 month after a monitoring plot is established—
a map, in electronic form or ink, showing the location of the plot; or
a sketch, in ink, showing the location of the plot; and
within 1 month after each yearly survey of plants in a monitoring plot—a statement containing the required information for the plot.
In this section—
required information, for a monitoring plot, means—
details of the growth of the plants of each species in the plot measured as average height for—
each stem of each plant from which a part of the plant was taken; and
each plant designated when the plot was established as a plant from which parts are not to be taken; and
details of the total amount, measured by volume or weight, of material taken from plants of each species in the plot since the last survey.
