82 Service by public notice
(1)
This section applies if service by a police officer of an application or order by public notice is required or authorised by a provision of this Act.
(2)
For service by public notice to be effective, the police officer must publish a notice—
(a)
in a newspaper circulating throughout the State; and
(b)
on the QPS website.
(3)
The notice under subsection (2) need only state the following—
(a)
the general nature of the application or order;
(b)
the respondent for the application or order;
(c)
for an application—how copies of any affidavit or draft order to be used in the application may be obtained or read.
