19 Protection from liability
(1)
In this section—official means—
(a)
the Minister; or
(b)
the chief executive; or
(c)
a person acting under the direction of the Minister or chief executive.
(2)
An official does not incur civil liability for an act done, or omission made, honestly and without negligence under this Act.
(3)
If subsection (2) prevents a civil liability attaching to an official, the liability attaches instead to the State.
