87 Vacation of office
(1)
The office of a member becomes vacant if the member—
(a)
dies; or
(b)
resigns office by written notice given to the Minister; or
(c)
is removed from office under section 86.
(2)
Also, the office of a member becomes vacant if the member ceases to hold the office or qualification, if any, mentioned in section 82(2) for the member.
(3)
If a member resigns, the resignation takes effect on the day the notice is given or, if a later day is stated in the notice, on the later day.
