231 Purposes of register
The purposes for establishing the register are as follows—
(a)
to collect data to help in—
(i)
monitoring and analysing the outcomes and patterns of cancer; and
(ii)
monitoring cancer mortality; and
(iii)
increasing public awareness of cancer;
(b)
to help in the planning of services and strategies for the prevention and management of cancer.
