83 Application of pt 8
(1)
This part applies to a local government prescribed by regulation.
(2)
The Minister may recommend to the Governor in Council the making of a regulation under subsection (1) only if the Minister is satisfied the local government has appropriate procedures in place for exercising a power under section 84 in relation to the local government.
(3)
A regulation may prescribe matters the Minister must consider in being satisfied that a local government has appropriate procedures in place.
