Rural and Regional Adjustment Act 1994

The Minister may appoint any director of the board to act as the chairperson of the board during—

any vacancy, or all vacancies, in the position; or

any period, or all periods, when the chairperson is absent from duty, or can not, for another reason, perform the chairperson’s responsibilities.

Subsection (1) does not affect the application of the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, section 24B or 25 for the appointment.
