87 Board may authorise investigation of registrant’s professional conduct
(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
the board reasonably believes a registrant has engaged in professional misconduct, whether or not a complaint has been made under section 85 about the registrant’s professional conduct; or
(b)
the registrant has not complied with a request made under section 86(2).
(2)
The board may—
(a)
deal with the matter in a way mentioned in section 86(2)(a); or
(b)
authorise an investigation of the registrant’s professional conduct.
