29 Notice to and representations by the person
The applicant must give the person—
a written summary of the application; and
notice of the place, date and time the application will be heard.
The person and the person’s lawyer are entitled to be present when the application is heard either in person, or, if the issuing authority directs, by video link.
The person and the person’s lawyer are entitled to ask questions of any person giving information to the issuing authority and to make any representations to the issuing authority.
Subsection (1) or (3) does not require any information to be disclosed—
if the disclosure of the information is likely to prejudice national security; or
if the information would not have to be disclosed in a proceeding because of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, section 803.
