43A Search involving removal of clothing
(1)
Subsection (2) applies if a police officer who takes a person into custody under a preventative detention order, or who is present when a person is taken into custody, reasonably suspects the person is carrying an item that may result in loss of life or serious physical harm.
(2)
The police officer may require the person to remove all items of clothing or all items of clothing from the upper or lower part of the body.
