79A Oral application for initial order in urgent circumstances
(1)
This section applies in relation to an application to the issuing authority for an initial order.
(2)
A police officer may apply for the order orally in person, and without preparing the written application required under section 15, if it is reasonably necessary to apply in that way because of urgent circumstances.
(3)
In making the application, the police officer must state each matter that would be required to be stated if the application were made in writing.
