Keeping register up-to-date
50 Keeping register up-to-date
The Minister may add information to, or take information off, the register if the Minister is satisfied the adding or taking off is a necessary adjustment for keeping the register up-to-date.
However, before acting under subsection (1) to take information off the register, the Minister must, to the extent it is reasonably practicable to do so, consult with any Torres Strait Islander party for the area to which the information relates.
Information added to the register under subsection (1) is taken to be information recorded in the register.
Information taken off the register under subsection (1) is taken to be information no longer recorded in the register.
