This section applies to an operator of a taxi service, or a booked hire service provided using a taxi, who temporarily assigns an interim taxi driver display card to a person under section 141.

(2)

The operator must keep a written record of the following for at least 5 years after the temporary assignment at a place of business of the operator—

(a)

the name of the person to whom the card is assigned;

(b)

the person’s driver authorisation number;

(c)

the reason for the assignment;

(d)

the date of the assignment;

(e)

the date the card is returned to the operator.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
