Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999

The registrar may settle a draft order without an appointment for the attendance of the parties.

However, if the registrar considers it is necessary or a party requests an appointment to settle a draft order, the registrar must appoint a time and place for the attendance of the parties when the registrar will settle the draft.

The registrar may settle a draft order in the absence of a party who fails to attend the registrar after being notified by the registrar of the time and place of the appointment.
