9 What is vegetation management
(1)
Vegetation management is the management of vegetation in a way that achieves the purpose of this Act.
(2)
For subsection (1), the management of vegetation may include, for example, the following—
(a)
the retention or maintenance of vegetation to—
(i)
avoid land degradation; or
(ii)
maintain or increase biodiversity; or
(iii)
maintain ecological processes;
(b)
the retention of riparian vegetation;
(c)
the retention of vegetation clumps or corridors.
