The board’s main function is to identify and review systemic issues in relation to the reporting, investigation and prosecution of sexual offences.
Without limiting subsection (1), the board has the following functions—
to review government policy, practices, procedures and systems to identify systemic issues;
to review and analyse data and information held by government entities and non-government entities;
to make recommendations to the Minister, government entities and non-government entities about improvements to government policy, practices, procedures and systems arising out of a review mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b);
to monitor the implementation of recommendations mentioned in paragraph (c).
Also, the board has any other functions given to it under this Act or another Act.
