87 Obtaining evidentiary material
This section applies if, under section 86, the chairperson asks the director of public prosecutions or the police commissioner for information that relates to a person who has been charged with or convicted of an offence.
The director of public prosecutions or the police commissioner is authorised to give the chairperson a copy or a summary of evidentiary material about the offence despite any other Act or law, including a law imposing an obligation to maintain confidentiality about the information.
Without limiting subsection (2), this section applies despite—
the Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1984, section 24A; and
the Police Service Administration Act 1990, section 10.1.
