127 Scheme manager
The chief executive must appoint, in writing, a manager of victims assistance.
A person is eligible for appointment as the manager of victims assistance if the person is—
a public service employee; and
appropriately qualified for the functions and powers of the manager of victims assistance under this Act.
The appointment of the scheme manager is subject to the conditions stated in the document of appointment.
The scheme manager stops being the scheme manager—
at the end of the term of appointment stated in the document of appointment; or
if the scheme manager stops being a public service employee.
The scheme manager may do all things necessary or convenient to be done for the performance of the scheme manager’s functions under this Act.
The scheme manager may perform all the functions and exercise all the powers of a government assessor under this Act.
A reference to a government assessor in this Act includes a reference to the scheme manager performing a function or exercising a power of a government assessor under subsection (6).
