30 Interference with water to enable taking of water for stock or domestic purposes
(1)
This section applies if the purpose of the proposed interference with water is to store water to be taken under an authorisation for stock or domestic purposes.
(2)
In deciding the application the chief executive must consider existing water supplies on the property to which the application relates, including existing weirs, groundwater and storages taking overland flow water and the availability of water at the proposed site.
(3)
The storage capacity for water to be taken under subsection (1) must not be greater than is necessary for the storage of water to be taken.
(4)
In this section—
groundwater means underground water.
