3 Application for certificate of dependency
(1)
This section applies if, before the end of the general limitation period, a claimant applies for a certificate under section 132B stating the claimant is a dependant of a deceased worker.
(2)
A proceeding for damages for the deceased worker’s injury may be brought by the claimant within 6 months after the insurer issues the certificate.
(3)
Subsection (2) applies whether or not the certificate is issued following a review or appeal under chapter 13.
