Former employer may apply to cancel policy
13 Former employer may apply to cancel policy
This section applies if a person (the former employer) wants to cancel a policy because the former employer has stopped employing workers.
The former employer must give WorkCover a written notice stating—
that the former employer wants to cancel the policy because the former employer has stopped employing workers; and
the day the former employer stopped employing workers (the end day); and
the wages paid, or provided, by the former employer during the period that—
starts on 1 July last preceding the end day; and
ends on the end day; and
the address to which any document addressed to the former employer may be sent.
This section does not apply if the person employed only household workers.
