Clearances held by police officers and registered teachers
247 Clearances held by police officers and registered teachers
This section applies if—
a person holds a working with children clearance; and
the person is or becomes a police officer or registered teacher.
The person’s working with children clearance continues in effect subject to section 238.
This chapter continues to apply in relation to the person’s working with children clearance while it is in force.
If the chief executive is aware the person is a police officer or registered teacher and, under part 5A or part 7, division 1, the chief executive is required or permitted to issue a working with children clearance to the person, the chief executive must instead issue a working with children exemption to the person.
