Working with Children Check Act 2000

This section applies if, immediately before the commencement—

a person was carrying on a business mentioned in schedule 1, section 16A; and

the business was not a regulated business mentioned in schedule 1, section 16 as in force immediately before the commencement; and

the person does not hold a working with children authority.

Sections 176B and 176G do not apply in relation to the person carrying on the business until—

3 months after the commencement; or

if the person makes a working with children check application within the period mentioned in paragraph (a)—the application is decided or withdrawn.
