33 Commercial Development Advisory Committee
The Minister may establish a committee (the Commercial
Development Advisory Committee) for the purposes of this
Act.
The Commercial Development Advisory Committee is to consist of—
the presiding member of the Trust (ex officio);
and
such other number of members as may be appointed by the Minister, being persons who collectively have, in the opinion of the Minister, extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:
commercial enterprise development;
property management and development;
corporate governance and administration;
the management of natural resources;
the management of agricultural and pastoral land.
In appointing members of the Commercial Development Advisory
Committee, the Minister should, as far as is reasonably practicable, endeavour to achieve a gender balance on the committee.
The Minister may appoint a suitable person to be the deputy of a member of the Commercial Development Advisory Committee.
A deputy may act as a member of the Commercial Development Advisory
Committee during any period of absence of the member in relation to whom the deputy has been appointed.
