Order of Court dispensing with or recognising consent
19 Order of Court dispensing with or recognising consent
In order to facilitate arrangements for the adoption of a child, the Court may, on application by or on behalf of the Chief Executive, make an order dispensing with or recognising the validity of a consent under this
Division before an application for an adoption order has been made and any such order has effect for the purposes of any application for an adoption order that may subsequently be made under this Act.
An order made under subsection (1) may, on the application of the Chief
Executive or of the person whose consent was in question, be revoked by the
Court at any time before the making of an adoption order in respect of the child.
