If more than 1 prescribed fee amount payable under section 53(1) of the Act applies to a corresponding licence, only a single fee amount (being the higher or highest of those amounts) will be payable as the annual fee.

The Minister may enter into an arrangement with the holder of an aquaculture licence for payment of an annual fee by quarterly instalments.

For the purposes of section 53(2) of the Act, the penalty for failure to pay an annual fee is—

if the annual fee is being paid in instalments—an amount equal to 10% of the unpaid balance of the instalment; or

in any other case—an amount equal to 10% of the fee.
