123 Hindering etc biosecurity auditors
A person who—
without reasonable excuse hinders or obstructs a biosecurity auditor, or a person assisting a biosecurity auditor, in the performance of a function or the exercise of a power under this Act; or
fails to answer a question put by a biosecurity auditor to the best of the person's knowledge, information or belief; or
provides an answer to a question put by a biosecurity auditor that the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular; or
produces a document or record that the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular; or
fails without reasonable excuse to comply with a requirement or direction of a biosecurity auditor in the performance of a function or the exercise of a power under this Act; or
uses abusive, threatening or insulting language to a biosecurity auditor, or a person assisting a biosecurity auditor, in the performance of a function or the exercise of a power under this Act; or
falsely represents, by words or conduct, that the person is a biosecurity auditor, is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $25 000.
