218 Certain proceedings to be civil
(1)
Proceedings on an application for a freezing order, a restraining order or a confiscation order are civil proceedings.
(2)
Except in relation to an offence under this Act—
(a)
the rules of construction applicable only in relation to the criminal law do not apply in the interpretation of this Act; and
(b)
the rules of evidence applicable in civil proceedings apply to proceedings under this Act.
