Proof of documents by examined or certified copies

In force

Whenever any book, or other document, in the United Kingdom, or in any part of

His Majesty's Dominions outside the Commonwealth and other than the

United Kingdom, is provable (according to the law of England, or of the said part of His Majesty's Dominions) by means of a copy, any copy thereof or extract therefrom shall be admissible in evidence if it—

(a)

is proved to be an examined copy or extract; or

(b)

purports to be signed and certified as a true copy or extract by some officer who shall further certify that he is the officer to whose custody the original is entrusted.
