33 Offence to hinder or obstruct an inspector etc
Subject to this section, a person who—
without reasonable excuse, hinders or obstructs an inspector in the exercise of powers under this Part; or
fails to answer a question put by an inspector to the best of the person's knowledge, information or belief; or
fails to comply with any other lawful requirement or direction of an inspector; or
uses abusive, threatening or insulting language to an inspector or a person assisting an inspector; or
falsely represents, by word or conduct, that the person is an inspector, is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $20 000.
A natural person is not required to answer a question, or to produce documents, under this Part if—
the answer to the question or the contents of the documents would tend to incriminate the person of an offence; or
answering the question or producing the documents would result in a breach of legal professional privilege.
In subsection (2)—
offence means an offence against a gambling Act or any other offence arising out of or committed in connection with the conduct of operations of a kind authorised by a gambling
Act.
