131B Use of names

(1)

A registered health practitioner must not use a name in connection with the practitioner's provision of a health service, including advertising the provision of a health service, other than—

(a)

either or both of the following names recorded in a National Register or

Specialists Register under section 225—

(i)

the practitioner's name;

(ii)

an alternative name for the practitioner notified to the Board under section 131A;

or

(b)

a business name.

(2)

A contravention of subsection (1) by a registered health practitioner does not constitute an offence but may constitute behaviour for which health, conduct or performance action may be taken.
