23 Power of Tribunal to make order for ejectment or compensation

(1)

If 1 or more occupiers of premises in respect of which a notice to vacate has been issued have not given up possession of the premises by the date specified in the notice, the Tribunal may, on application by the owner of the premises or the Minister, make an order for the ejectment of the occupier or occupiers.

(2)

If premises in respect of which a notice to vacate has been issued have been occupied under a residential tenancy agreement, the Tribunal may, on application by the tenant, if the Tribunal considers it appropriate to do so in the circumstances, make an order requiring the landlord to compensate the tenant for loss and inconvenience resulting, or likely to result, from the early termination of the tenancy under this Division (including, but not limited to, the reasonable costs incurred by the tenant in relocating to other premises).
