20 Inspector has power to seize material
An inspector may seize hemp, industrial hemp or material cultivated under this Act if—
the inspector believes on reasonable grounds that the holder of the licence has contravened a provision of the Act; or
the material is required for evidence in a legal proceeding; or
a licence is suspended or cancelled.
If an inspector seizes any material under this section, the seized material must be dealt with in accordance with the regulations.
Without limiting the generality of subsection (2), regulations made under this section may provide for the following:
the circumstances in which seized material may be destroyed or otherwise disposed of;
the recovery by the Chief Executive of any costs incurred in dealing with seized material.
