22 Grant or renewal of registration
The
Society must consider an application that has been made for the grant or renewal of registration as a foreign lawyer and may—
grant or refuse to grant the registration; or
renew or refuse to renew the registration.
The
Society may, when granting or renewing registration, impose conditions as referred to in clause 42.
If the Society grants or renews registration, the Society must, as soon as practicable, give the applicant a registration certificate or a notice of renewal.
If the Society—
refuses to grant or renew registration; or
imposes a condition on the registration and the applicant does not agree to the condition, the
Society must, as soon as practicable, give the applicant an information notice.
A notice of renewal may be in the form of a new registration certificate or any other form the Society considers appropriate.
