Displacement of Schedule
5 Displacement of Schedule
This clause applies if this Schedule applies to a matter by the operation of clause 3 or
4.
This Schedule ceases to apply to the matter if—
either—
the legal services are or will be provided wholly or primarily in another jurisdiction; or
the matter has a substantial connection with another jurisdiction, or both; and
either—
the client enters, under the corresponding law of the other jurisdiction, into an agreement with the law practice that the corresponding provisions of the corresponding law apply to the matter; or
the client notifies, under the corresponding law of the other jurisdiction (and within the time allowed by the corresponding law), the law practice in writing that the client requires the corresponding provisions of the corresponding law to apply to the matter.
Nothing in this clause prevents the application of this Schedule to the matter by means of a later agreement or notification under clause 4.
