35 Citation and references to other enactments
An
Act or a legislative instrument of this jurisdiction may be cited by—
its short title; or
its short title abbreviated by omitting reference to any year except the year in which it was passed.
An
Act or a legislative instrument of any other jurisdiction may be cited by its short title or by any method authorised by, or commonly used in, the legislation of that other jurisdiction, together with a reference to the jurisdiction.
A reference in an Act or a legislative instrument to an Act of this or any other jurisdiction includes a reference to legislative instruments made or in force under that Act.
A reference in an Act or a legislative instrument to a portion or provision of an Act of this or any other jurisdiction includes a reference to—
legislative instruments made or in force under that portion or provision of that
Act; and
legislative instruments made or in force under some other portion or provision of that Act that are connected to the portion or provision mentioned in paragraph (a).
Nothing in this section renders unlawful or ineffective any citation or reference that is not made in a manner authorised by this section.
