22 Possession of flares and explosive devices at major event venue

(1)

A person must not, while in a major event venue, carry or be in possession of a flare or a firework or other explosive device unless authorised by the occupier of the venue or the event organiser. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty: $5 000 or imprisonment for 1 year.

Subsection

(1)

places an evidential burden on the accused to show that the accused was authorised by the occupier or event organiser (as the case may be).
