Mining Act 1971

If there are 2 or more persons who are tenement holders in relation to the same mineral tenement, each tenement holder is jointly and severally liable for compliance with any requirement under this Act that applies in respect of the tenement.

For the purposes of this Act, an act or omission of an employee or agent will be taken to be the act or omission of the employer or principal unless it is proved that the act or omission did not occur in the course of employment or agency.
