28 Term of office
(1)
A health and safety representative for a designated work group holds office—
(a)
if, in consultations that took place under clause 18, 19, 20 or 21, the parties to the consultations agreed to the period for which the health and safety representative for the group was to hold office—for that period; or
(b)
if paragraph (a) does not apply—for 2 years.
(2)
The term of office of a health and safety representative begins at the start of the day on which he or she was selected.
(3)
Nothing in this clause prevents a health and safety representative from being selected for further terms of office.
