28 Operations for enrichment or conversion of uranium
(1)
A person must not carry on an operation for the conversion or enrichment of uranium. Maximum penalty: Maximum penalty:
(a)
in the case of a body corporate—$1 000 000;
(b)
in the case of a natural person—$200 000 or imprisonment for 20 years.
(2)
In this section—
conversion of uranium means the conversion of uranium oxides to uranium hexafluoride;
enrichment of uranium means alteration of the isotopic composition of uranium.
