Relationships Register Act 2016

In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears—

adult means a person of or above the age of 18 years;

corresponding law means a law of another jurisdiction declared by the regulations to be a corresponding law under this

Act;

corresponding law registered relationship—see

Part 4;

Register means the Relationships Register established under Part 3;

registered relationship means a relationship that is registered under this Act;

Registrar means the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages within the meaning of the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration

Act 1996.
