115 Powers of Tribunal on application
On an application for expedited determination of a matter, the
Tribunal may—
in the case of an application for an assessment of whole person impairment under Part 2Division 5—give directions the Tribunal considers necessary to expedite the assessment; or
give directions the Tribunal considers necessary to expedite the determination of the matter; or
decide the matter itself.
A person to whom a direction is given by the Tribunal under subsection (1) must comply with the direction. Maximum penalty: $10 000.
Prosecution of non-compliance as an offence does not prejudice enforcement of the direction in other ways.
If the Tribunal decides a claim under this section, the decision is to be treated as a decision of the relevant compensating authority.
