130 Crown and certain agencies to be self-insured employers
Subject to subsection (2), the Crown and any agency or instrumentality of the Crown will be taken to be registered as self‑insured employers.
The Governor may, by proclamation, declare that an agency or instrumentality of the Crown is not to be regarded as a self‑insured employer, and in that event the agency or instrumentality will not be regarded as a self‑insured employer.
The Governor may, by further proclamation, vary or revoke a proclamation under subsection (2).
In this section—
agency or instrumentality of the Crown includes any body, or body of a specified class, prescribed by regulation for the purposes of this definition.
A regulation for the purposes of subsection (4) may, if the regulation so provides, take effect from a day antecedent to the day on which it is made.
