86 Costs
When, in relation to an action for damages brought under this
Part—
the proceedings are settled; or
a judgment is given; or
the proceedings are otherwise brought to an end, a legal practitioner acting on behalf of any party must, in accordance with the regulations, declare the legal costs that the legal practitioner has charged, or intends to charge, the party.
The regulations under subsection (1) may include a requirement that the declaration be furnished to any person specified by the regulations.
This section does not extend to proceedings before the Supreme
Court on an appeal.
In this section—
legal costs includes disbursements.
